You may have heard a lot about the power outage that happened in parts of Canada and the US last week. It was quite an experience– I had to take a cold shower! But thankfully, there are some simple steps you can follow if your electricity goes out and you want to stay clean.
What to do with clothes when the power is out:
If your clothes aren’t dirty, it’s best just leave them on. If they’re dirty, change into something else or put them in a plastic bag before putting them in the hamper for washing later on. Pack up any leftovers you have in containers so they won’t get ruined if there are spills; store these outside of the fridge as well! If you’re cooking something that requires continual monitoring like baked goods, make sure all stove burners and ovens are turned off before leaving home.
