You may have heard that you can’t smoke with Invisalign. That’s not true! You just need to know how to avoid the negative side effects of smoking while wearing your aligners. Here are some tips for a healthy invisalign experience, Brush your teeth at least twice a day and use mouthwash before bed. Drink lots of water and eat plenty of fruit, vegetables, and whole grains because these foods help keep saliva production going strong.

Saliva is important for keeping bacteria away from your teeth so they stay clean while you’re working on straightening them out! – Use an antiseptic mouth rinse in between brushing sessions or whenever you feel like it will be helpful. Rinse your mouth with water after eating and before going to bed. This will help keep food particles from rotting in the aligners overnight, when you’re asleep!

Use a straw for any drinks other than water so you don’t accidentally swallow any chemicals that can damage teeth or gums. Watch what color of toothpaste you use some colors may contain ingredients that are abrasive on your teeth and worsen stains caused by smoking (think blue).
